Title: JRemote -- remember view modes
Post by: mattlovell on February 16, 2019, 04:40:31 pm
While you're busy getting recommendations for big and little changes to MC for Version 25, I have one for JRemote that I hope is an easy one...

At the moment, JRemote just offers a "Default view mode" (List, Imagelist, Thumbnails) that are applied whenever one first switches to a item (View?) in the library.  If one changes the view mode, that appears to be rememberd but only for that running instance of JRemote.  If one quits JRemote, the next instance goes back to applying the default view mode as one navigates around the library.

Would it be possible for JRemote to store the view mode for items such that it is persistent?

For parts of my collection, I like an album view with artwork.  For other parts, I prefer a list view.  Having the preferences be persistent would just make JRemote that much better!

Thanks again for giving JRemote some TLC.

Looks like the notion has come up before.  Here's a post (with no replies) from 2014:
