When I boot my Mac MC 21 starts automatically although it’s not listed as autostart object. When I close the program it restarts after some time. This seems to mean it is in a launch service. Can I stop this behaviour? I have MC 22 and don't like to have two versions of the same program running because I need just one.

There is an option that controls this behavior. Set it to 'Run on Mac Starup: Nothing'
Tools->Options->Startup->Mac Startup->Run on Mac Starup: Nothing
-
This option is set to »nothing«. But MC keeps to start on reboot and to restart from time to time (when I open another program for example).

Look at your Login items. System Preferences > Users and Groups > (your user account) > Login Items
If MC is in there, take it out.

As I wrote in my first post, it’s not there. I checked the launch items and launch demon folders too: there is nothing. But MC 21 keeps starting and restarting.
-
This happens not only when I boot the Mac but also when I wake it up. I attach a file with the console messages.

I'm unclear on what's going on. I'm fairly certain that if you delete Media Center 21, it can't start though. :)
Or, maybe move it to another name as a temporary measure. Like name it with a version number like:
Media Center 21.0.90.app

But this will have the consequence that the launch agent tries to start the program which isn’t available over and over. But... OK. If there is no other solution...
