Hello,
I have used JRiver for several years and lately I can't get it to play correctly.
Now it plays a few seconds of each song and skips to the next one.
Sometimes it stops completely and I get: "Spinning Up Drive", then: "There was a problem controlling the selected DLNA device. Double-check your device, server and network settings".
If I reboot my DAC I then can play a few seconds of each song again.
Any thoughts that could help??
my system:
Dell PC running Windows 10, JRiver MC 21, connected to a hard drive with music files, connected to router which is connected to DAC, (PS Audio DSD/PerfectWave).
thanks in advance!
Todd

Todd, did you ever get an answer to this? I have a similar problem. Posted two days ago and have not help on this forum. My Perfect Wave shows what I am trying to play but the JRiver starts the song, plays 6 seconds and starts the song again....endlessly. Playing JRiver and headphones on the computer- no issues.

Hi Mark, I never did get any response. :(
The problem continues, yet is intermittent. Sometimes it works fine. Other times it plays a few seconds of each song and skips to the next.

Thank You for the response. I may resort to deleting the program and reinstalling.

sounds like your playing from a CD, Does It Do The Same Thing When You Play From A USB Drive?

I'm playing FLAC files from my hard drive.
My computer is connected to my router which is connected to the DAC.
It used to work fine. No idea why it skips now.
