Word of caution, don't expect a different answer.. ;)

There is not currently any package licenses or discounts available. Of course, once you get the OSX license, then it would qualify for upgrade pricing next time around.
Jim has said this could change in the future, but nothing so far.

Okay! Over the years i purchased the most Versions of MC for PC! Now i switched after 25 Years of Microsoft Windows to the Mac. I love MC and want to use it on Mac now. But the "love" is not great enough to pay 50 Dollars as a longtime Windows MC User. I canīt understand this Licence politics of jriver. I cross the Fingers and hope for a Discount on Christmas 2014 ;)
Sorry for my bad English! Last lessons are in 1981 (School) :)

Because developing the Mac version of MC (and the Linux version) was a massive engineering project and they needed to recoup revenue for this effort, or it wasn't worth doing in the first place.
Mac users need to pay for the Mac version, or JRiver won't be able to allocate development resources towards it.
I suspect that once it becomes "mostly done" and they're able to bring both the Mac and Windows versions along in unison without having to spend a ton of time back-porting features to the Mac version, you might see a change. However, that's a ways off.
(I should note: I don't work for JRiver, and I don't know, I'm guessing.)
