Title: Auto update EPG without opening JRiver?

I have EPG setup to use OTA.  But it only updates when I start JRiver.
Which can be frustrating sometimes, as I have to first wait for JRiver to update to the latest version.  And then I have to wait several minutes for the guide to update.

Is there a way to have JRiver update the guide when my computer powers on and not have it wait until I open JRiver?

No.  There is no way of doing that.

You can leave MC's Media Server portion running.  As long as Media Server is running, EPG is updated.

Are you talking about changing the JRService.exe service to Automatic instead of Manual?

Or are you talking about configuring the entire JRiver program to auto-start on bootup and then leave it running all day?

The latter... Within MC > Tools > Options > Startup > Windows Startup = Media Server.
