Title: synching podcasts only
Post by: mabes on September 10, 2008, 10:32:39 pm
Did I read that the ability to sync podcasts - without touching music files - would be implemented in MC 13 or was that something discussed for MC12. What I mean is ability to leave the box to "delete files not on the sync list checked", but that would only apply to podcasts.

(this could apply to video and images as well, each could have it's own settings)

I don't need to sync music every day, but for podcasts I do, they're updated constantly and once I've listened to one, I don't need to keep it. I delete the ones I've listened to manually and then resync.  But to do so I have to go into the options and uncheck all the music smartlists. And that box above. And if I forget, not fun. Tonight I forgot and everything except podcasts were deleted. It's a half hour later and the sync will not be completed for another half hour.

BTW is an hour normal for an 8 GB player? Samsung P2 btw.
