Title: Any way to fix broken settings?
Post by: TopDownDriver on November 04, 2022, 11:20:44 am
Moved from MC26 to MC30 and moved from an older system to a newer PC (Windows 11).

Used a backup of MC26 after installing, but now see that the settings (in particular the Startup Options in settings) are not working properly.  I would like to know if there is a way to reset the settings without wiping out the database (I have a lot of albums).  I've tried everything else to get the Startup to work, but the view does not change when opening the program.

Note: This is on the server-side and I use a Windows computer for the client, and it has the same issue.  I assume inherited from the server.

Thanks

Can you be more specific than "not working properly"?
I would assume that start up options are tied to the instance of JRiver and that the client doesn't inherent them from the server.

The server, specifically, will not change its startup behavior (what is shown) no matter the settings.

Are you changing the settings on the server itself?

Yes, the problem appears to be with the server.  Specifically if I restart it.  It then comes up showing a search I did a few days back.

Party Mode?

Check the View menu on the tooolbar... if there's a tick beside Party Mode, click it to get back to normal operation. If it's not that, I'm out of ideas :)
