Title: JRiver remote 'songs' option?
Post by: JIMV on April 21, 2015, 04:07:58 pm
In MC20 I get the option of listing songs and then random play if I desire...How do I do that on the new J-Remote...

A related question...the remote seems to have reached into the network and snatched up photos on one PC and videos on another. I have no desire to use anything except music....How to I keep the remote out of the rest of my home network?

Got a question about JRemote settings.   JRemote works fine on my iPhone when I am in range of my wireless router.  As soon as I'm out of range I lose the connection.  Is there some setting or configuration that I need to toggle so that when I drive away from my home, the JRemote connection will continue?

Thanx .....

If you're trying to use it from outside your LAN, please read the wiki topic called Network Access (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Network_Access).

This procedure talks about a "test feature."

The test feature attempts to connect from a server at JRiver directly to the server running on your PC. It the port is open all the way, it will succeed.

Where can I find this "feature" so that I can run it?

Thanx ....

It's in the Media Network settings.

Hmmmm - I don't see anything that reads "Test" - can you be more specific?

Thanx ...

Please click around.  It's what I'd need to do.

OK - I've clicked around and "Test" is no where to be found.  Any specific instructions on how to find this feature would be appreciated.

Thanx ....
