Title: another program or foobar plugins?
Post by: zxsix on October 17, 2008, 05:55:16 pm
Is there any way to port another program or foobar 2000 scripts/plugins to MC?

Both have a decent batch lyrics finder.  Since there's no such thing for MC anymore, perhaps one or both of these could be ported over.
The original utility is for batch lyric grabbing and appears to be a set of vbs and javascripts.

Are their source codes available?

One in particular I'm interested in is called Lyricator.
Once it's installed, it's a couple of js script files.

Lyricator is a mix of VBS and javascript. I'll have a look at it but it may be quite hard to understand how it works.

However, it's author mention another plugin for the same program. This one has only one source: lyricsplugin (http://www.lyricsplugin.com/winamp03/plugin/?title=kiss+from+a+rose&artist=seal)
Do you think it's a reliable source?

What's wrong with already existing MC lyrics plugin?

Is the "multi-source" feature of Lyricator the killer-feature?

The only lyrics plugin still available for MC requires manually handling each song.
Lyricator is a batch processor that quickly and easily updates hundreds of songs at a time.

Okay, that seems to be nothing more than a matter of time.  :P
