Title: System Tray tool tip too small to show track name
Post by: bannonb on December 22, 2015, 09:42:29 am
The tool tip display when I hover over the system tray icon for Media Center shows Artist-Album and ostensibly track name...but when the album name and/or the artist name is long, you can't see the track name. It's as if the tool tip size is fixed.

Is there a way to have the tool tip dynamically size itself?

Is there a way to change the order of the tool tip display so that I can see what is in the main display (Track--Album) then artist?

Thanks,

BannonB

I think we're using half the size that exists today.

We were capping at 64 characters, but I think the szTip buffer is 128 characters long now.

So I'll try changing it for the next build:
Changed: The tooltip text on the system tray can be longer (128 characters instead of 64 characters).

Note that this only will apply to MC 21.

That was quick!  Thanks Matt!

Is there a way to get the new build as an update to MC19?  Will it appear in the updates thread as .164 or something?

Sorry, but we're done with version 19 and 20.

Onward and upward!

OK so now I have a reason to upgrade to the latest.

I stayed at 19 because it works well and the majority of features being built aren't ones I use...

What version should I look for to be sure I get that tooltips fix?

It hasn't been released yet, so probably 21.0.31 or newer.
