Title: Upgrade from 20 to 27
Post by: hookleft on February 14, 2021, 01:50:53 pm
Hi. I use JRiver 20 for Mac as DLNA Server and DLNA Controller. DLNA renderer is Sonore Ultrarendu. Is any sense for me to upgrade to 27?

Try running Media Center 27 in the 30 day full free trial and see if there is for yourself. :)

I meant if there were any improvements in the specified components that affect the sound?
Sound is not an easy thing. Here you need to listen carefully.
There is no time to check yourself.

I'm still rocking MC23 for the same reason : if you only use MC for Music, there's been no reason to upgrade since MC23 for me.
(Now if they implemented a download option for JRemote iOS that RQD MC27, I'd be all in!)

If you don't want to try it, better look at the release notes:
https://www.videohelp.com/software/J.-River-Media-Center/version-history

SOX resampling and TPDF dithering have been added, but these are minor things.

Read and see if you spot anything important to you.
