Title: Noise from Idpi
Post by: Bohemian on October 19, 2018, 07:37:22 am
My Idpi is emitting a low humming sound.  I have not noticed this before, but it is definitely the Idpi and it stops when it is switched off from the power.

Have I just not noticed this because of playing music, which drowns out the sound, or has the Idpi developed a fault? It has a hifiberry digi+ hat.  It plays perfectly, but I am finding that I need to switch it off every time I end a listening session.

Try a different power supply? I have heard of instances where this makes a difference with the Raspberry Pi in general. For example...

I believe the official Raspberry Pi power supply is a microUSB 5V 2.5A source, so try to make sure get a supply capable of 2.5A or more when testing.
