Title: FEATURE REQUEST: Volume Leveling on JRemote
Post by: AldoAlvarez on July 03, 2023, 08:04:55 am
Hello  :) I just tried JRemote on my iPhone and it worked flawlessly through WiFi at home until I noticed that I had to continuously change the volume manually.  I tried finding Volume Leveling on the app to enable it but apparently there isn't one.

If there is Volume Leveling on the JRemote, where can I find it in JRemote?  If there isn't one, could the app be upgraded to include Volume Leveling?

As far as I can tell, when you play audio to JRemote directly (to "this device") Volume leveling and all other DSP are disabled.

Do you actually want to listen to music directly on your phone?  I would expect that most people would use speakers or maybe headphones when listening to music.

Brian.

I’d like to add my vote to this feature request !

I’m sending JRemote’s  output to an *AudioQuest Dragonfly* DAC+headphone amp and having tracks ranging between +14db and –12dB is definitely an annoyance for any casual listening !
