To install it,
Download the zip file
Extract the zip file
Copy the folder called multiinfo to the following location (assuming a normal install of MC)
C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 12\Visualizations\Track Info\
To run it,
Go to playing now (with something playing)
Right click --> Set Display --> Track Info --> multiinfo
-
As you can see it supports the noire-skin now.
Very nice ;D

Hi DJ_Hazelwood
This is a great plug in and it does almost everthing I want but there are a couple of mod I would like to try but before I did anythin I wanted to ask your advice/permission.
The first one is, instead of a visualisation on the RHS, I would like to display an image of the artist(s)...I realise that there is no field directly available for this function and I did ask about this in another forum here and got no replies....is there any advice you could offer about this, could it even be done...?
The other stuff should be easier (hopefully..... ) Instead of the 'Notes' heading, I would like to add an album review and change the heading to, startlingly, 'Review'....again, is it okay with you to do this and is it easy, I haven't look at how it would be done as yet so I don't know but just wanted to ask first.
Thanks in advance and compliments of the season.
Best Regards
Goodog

First of all you need a field where the path to the artist-image is stored.
Then you could change the 'VISUALIZATION'-part in the index.html of MultiInfo.
Instead of the object for the visualization you use an image (as you see in the COVER-ART-part).
Then this should work.

Yes, this is really simple: In the NAVIGATION-part of the index.html you can find the tab-headers and here you can change 'Notes' into 'Review'. And in the Notes-part simply change the TrackInfo-part to the field you want to use.
... I haven't look at how it would be done as yet so I don't know but just wanted to ask first.
Feel free to make modifications. But, as always, please don't forget to share your work with the MC-community.
Thanks for the feedback

Magic Randy thanks for the info. I like it and will be using it.

I just posted a question about this plugin in another thread. I was wondering if you knew about the issue with cover art not displaying properly in MultiInfo when the AW is displaying the cover art image as well. Does the new version of MultiInfo take care of this issue by any chance?
Thanks again for the terrific plugin,
Larry

I noticed that when playing streaming songs off the web (i.e. streaming radio stations), MultiInfo causes constant spikes of 100% CPU usage. The spikes go away if I'm not on the Playing Now screen, or if I play a song off the local drive instead of a streaming link -- i.e. it is only an issue when BOTH conditions exist (the MultiInfo screen is active, AND the current song is streaming from the web.) It is also impossible to switch to the "setup" screen when streaming content is playing -- it just keeps switching back to the previous screen.
Are these unavoidable situations when using MultiInfo when playing streaming content? These are definitely not serious issues, but I was just curious if there were any solutions.
Thanks again,
Larry

I just loaded MultiInfo on another system and the little "up" and "down" arrows (triangles) on the upper left of the top bar are instead square "boxes" with what looks like a "3" in one and a "." in the other. I tried loading MultiInfo another system, and the same thing happened. I've used this skin on other systems without this problem before, but I haven't done anything different on these systems that I know of. Does anyone know why the little up and down triangles are not being properly drawn on some systems? More importantly, does anyone know how to fix this?
I tried two different loading methods on each of these two new systems. I loaded the 2.2 version from the plugins page on one system, then updating to 2.6 with the zip file. On the other system, I simply unzipped the 2.6 file directly to a "MultiInfo" folder that I created myself. The same problem happened in BOTH cases.
Thanks for any help with this,
Larry

Did you try to copy the MultiInfo-folder from a system where it works to the new system?

As far as I know this happens also with other trackinfo templates.
So this seems to be a general problem and I see no chance for me to solve this.
Sorry.

No -- I never thought to try this, but I don't understand why this would make any difference. In other words, if I manually unzip the files to the correct folder, why would it be any different than on my other systems? Isn't the "Installation" simply a matter of unzipping the files to the correct folder?
I'll give this a try when I get a chance and report.
Thanks,
Larry

Sure, but maybe there is a difference between the new files and the recently downloaded files. I don't know.

My confusion is in the fact that the systems that are working are using the newer files as well -- i.e. I installed the 2.60 files on the other systems as well, and the arrows appear normally.
Also, on the system that does NOT show the arrows, I installed the earlier version first -- i.e. the one from the "plugins" section of the JR site. In other words, BOTH the old AND the new versions of the plugin work fine on two systems, but NOT on two other systems. The only difference that I can think of is that on the systems where the arrows DO show up properly, I installed the plugins a while back, whereas on the systems where the arrows do NOT show up, I only installed the plugin recently. The VERSIONS of the plugin that were installed, however, were the same in all cases.
I haven't had a chance to copy the entire folder over yet, so I'll post back when I do this, but I don't think this will help given that I unzipped the SAME plugin files in each case.
The bottom line is that the plugin is not working on two systems.
Thanks again for any help with this,
Larry

I just noticed that album art is always made "square" by this plugin. I have some album art from CD box sets that is twice as tall as it is wide. With other track info screens, it appears with the correct dimensions, but with MultiInfo, it is squished into a square.
Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks,
Larry

is it easy to disable the visualisation part of this? personally I loathe the squiggly morphings :)
great looking info screen.

Do you mean the blend-effect when starting MultiInfo and when changing the track?
I'm working on a new version. Maybe I can make this as an option.

ATM I have no idea how to do this. But I will think about it. Maybe there is a way.

Ok. Go to the 'setup'-tab of MultiInfo. Click 'toggle viz'. Then it should be gone.

Hi,
I've been trying to get the artist image working in place of the vizualisation on the right hand side (as decribed
near the beginning of this thread) without any success & I wonder if anyone could help ?.
In order to get this to work could someone spell out to me :-
1) if I create a new field "Artist Image" what exactly should it contain ? Just a path to a folder or the full link to the actual file ?
2) what should this section of the index.html be changed to say ? :-
<!-- VISUALIZATION -->
<div class='vispos' id='Vis'>
<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr>
<td class='imgTL'></td>
<td class='imgTC'></td>
<td class='imgTR'></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class='imgML'></td>
<td class='imgMC'><img class="imgsize" border="0" src="TRACKINFO_INSERT_IMAGE"></td>
<td class='imgMR'></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class='imgBL'></td>
<td class='imgBC'></td>
<td class='imgBR'></td>
</tr>
</table>
</div>
<!-- END VISUALIZATION -->
P.S - I'm using Mediajukebox 14
Thanks a lot
