Title: CPU Cooler Recommendations

I have the Silverstone GD05B case...very nice case and is the perfect match next to my Onkyo SR-507 receiver. I have read that the limitation of the cooler height is 70mm if the optical drive is installed, otherwise it can fit up to 120mm.

The stock cooler on the i5 760 processor from what I read from reviews is pretty poor so I am considering getting a better cooler for it, especially for a 95W CPU. I could possibly just keep my internal BD drive in the i3 system currently and not worry about moving it to the Silverstone case since I only used it to rip my BD collection that I have.

So, does anyone have any good recommendations for a good 70mm cooler should I add the BD drive, or 120mm without it? Thanks for any help.

I'd suggest you suck it and see.  Build the HTPC us on stock and see (hear) how it goes....you might be surprised that it all works fine.

I have a Scythe Shuriken Low Profile. Happy with the cooling and quietness of it.
