Title: MIMO U720 USB screen

Has anyone used one of these as a replacement for screen and mouse, I am thinking of using it as a remote control On a lead of course ) but still better than a screen and mouse.
My first plan was to use an Android device as a remote, but that wont do for a lot of the tasks other than playback. This USB arangement should tick all the boxes. Any thoughts/experiences ?

I think you'd regret getting a cabled touchscreen for the price of an Android tablet that does much much more. Using Splashtop remote you could have a miniature representation of the full TheaterView right in your hands.
