Title: Convert Function in Windows MC28 v28.0.106
Post by: jllaudio on March 04, 2022, 11:10:03 pm
I have been trying to down convert 192k/24 bit, 354K/24bit and 384K/24bit flac files to 48K/24bit flac files for my mobile devices.  This has worked before but now when I hit convert the converted files remain at the higher resolution.  I changed the output to 48K/24bit in the "DSP
& output format" selection in the Audio devices section for the above Input sample rates.

Try right clicking on a file and using convert.

The location where you're currently making the change only applies to playback.

I have used Tools->Advanced Functions-> Convert Format as the the means to upconvert and down convert.  I've always highlighted the files I wanted to convert.

Where is the conversion cache function?

Options>File Location>Conversion cache

In the future you can search for settings using the search dialog in the bottom left of the options screen.

Thanks, getting rid of the cache worked.  I've never had to do this before MC28.
