Title: Output Device change not reflected unless I restart JRiver
Post by: tilly1615 on December 31, 2016, 10:37:31 am
Hi

I am running MC 21 with Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit with computer speakers and an Audio Engine DAC with a Home Theater Receiver. I can play to the computer speakers or route to the DAC.

When I change output devices from the Realtek Digital output (Soundcard to Computer Speakers) and switch to the Audioengine DAC, playback does not auomatically go to the DAC unless I close down MC 21 down and restart MC (I don't have to shut windows)

is there something I'm doing wrong?

thank

Hi

yes thats also what I noted.
Changing rather low level things, drivers, soundcards or setting like VST in DSP-options needs to restart MC (...MC21, MC22).
I guess this is how it is. Not so nice, but also not a really concerning issue. If you know it its the most important thing, to remember if you change to restart.
