I can't reproduce this behavior.

Using RO Standard => slow motion is smooth.
Using JRVR (even at lowest settings) > slow motion is NOT smooth.

CTRL-J shows no dropped/repeated frames for normal speed playback. As soon as slow motion is invoked the repeated frames quickly climbs and climbs.

Confirmed on three different machines.

We've talked about this before, yes - you sometimes do not see the replies.

On this thread, it seems to me that Bob tested renaming a *View* node using your database, but you are complaining about Playlist Groups. Maybe bob can take another look.

In a professional studio environment, which ASIO was meant for, it is typically shared, since mixing different sources is pretty common. In that environment, however, the sound engineer typically has total control of all the possible inputs. Many consumer companies just use shared mode, rather than changing the driver to be exclusive. I don't think Topping is unique in having a shared ASIO. But, I do understand the desire to have an exclusive mode driver.

Pretty sure for the iFi ZDN DAC 3 the volume control also works on the RCA outs.

"RCA output power: 1V-3.3V max. (variable); 2.1V fixed"

"Variable/Fixed Output: ZEN DAC 3 offers switchable variable or fixed line outputs. If you wish to use the unit's analog rotary volume control on the front panel, you should set the Variable-Fixed switch to the "Variable" position. This is recommended for connecting ZEN DAC 3 to a power amplifier or active speakers."

Oooooh, excellent! When I get a bit more time to do research I'll see if I can find any information on if it supports ASIO via a driver and if it does the ASIO is exclusive for PCM.

JTalk allows you to connect to your personal JRiver MC server and control playback and zones with voice commands. You can play a playlist, start play doctor, and play a particular artist, album, etc.  Note that it does not enable local playback to the Alexa device, it just controls the server.

SETUP

MC 30 and up is required.

Make sure your MC server is accessible from the internet: https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Network_Access

Install the JTalk Skill using the Alexa app on your mobile device (see GET JTALK below).

You must first link your server by using the Link Account button in the Alexa app on the JTalk skill settings page. You can then issue voice commands like the sample dialog below. Voice commands will work on any Alexa device using the same Amazon account used for setup.

"ask j talk what's playing"
"ask j talk for help"
"ask j talk to play playlist random songs"
"ask j talk next"
"ask j talk pause"

SESSIONS

The session is closed after each command is processed. Therefore, it is recommended that you issue all commands starting with "ask j talk..." such as "ask j talk what is playing".

EXAMPLE COMMANDS

play
pause
previous
next
stop
set volume to [3]
what's playing
list zones
set zone to [player]
play playlist [random songs]
start play doctor with [marley]
play artist [louis armstrong]
play album [frontiers]

You can also append desired zone and playback options to most commands:

play playlist [random songs] on zone [player]
play playlist [random songs] with options [shuffle]
play playlist [random songs] on zone [player] with options [add]

Complete Command Reference
