Title: Audio rate through hdmi on raspberry
Post by: ehabheikal on June 14, 2020, 07:04:51 am
I am thinking of putting a raspberry as always on media player,  i have one optical port on my dac that is free. I can use an hdmi audio extractor to take hdmi audio to the port. The question is 2 fold
1-What rates will be supported on hdmi from jriver on pi? Can i get full 192/24
2-Will the jitter problems that are known for usb on rpi3 still be present, is an rpi4 a must if i want the best audio quality?

I'm not aware of any general problems with sound on the Raspberry Pi.
