Title: Movie thumbnails being created on "wrong" share
Post by: skarsol on November 03, 2015, 01:33:21 pm
I have my movies mounted as drive Y at home. My work PC does not have access to that drive. In fact, it has a work share mounted at Y. I did some tagging of movies during some downtime at work and JRiver created new directories on the work Y share and put the cover images in them without caring that this Y wasn't the right Y.

Assuming that a specific lettered share on the client is the same as that share on the server seems dangerous. I understand the logic is there for loading local files if they match the path on the server to avoid streaming unnecessarily, but this seems to be assuming too much. Definitely something to be aware of if you use JRiver remotely anyplace you might have different Windows shares. :)
