The changes to Audio Setup in respect to the DSP & Output Format section has given a substantial improvement in sound quality with my music system. Windows 7 Home Premium. This was updated on Aug 16th.
(WASAPI)
Device: Speakers (Benchmark 1)
X Open device for exclusive access, UNCHECKED
Output Format
Bitdepth: Bitdepth: 24
Channels: Channels: Source number of channels
Sample Rate: Resample: All sources, Sample Rate:96,000 Hz
Track Change: Switch to smooth - 0.2 - 0.5 sec
Hope this is helpful for other Benchmark DAC owners.

Good to hear. I had recently posted about my Zodiac+ losing sync, using the WASAPI settings you describe here. Since I am setting a constant sample rate in MC at 96 or 192kHz (since I like crossfading), I have recently had success going from Aggressive .5 seconds to Smooth 1 Sec.
I always used to make mixes with such a hard "on top" fade and MusicHawk here also likes the aggressive setting as he feels it's more like the radio technique he has much experience with, but I feel the smooth setting even down to .5 seconds sound more pleasing and natural to me.
Post your rig for the gearheads here in the MC Audio Hardware Inventory (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=57897.0;topicseen).
cheers

The "Benchmark DAC1 USB" works excellent on my system with the following settings:
1 Use fiber port instead of USB
2 Use "Direct Out" instead of WAV or WASPI
This allows tuning the whole system for max capabilities limited by the data stored. Gets real close to as good as my analog components.
After spending the day testing other programs against MC15, I pick MC15 as best found to date.

Indeed!!...Old post but still applies Today!! For me with optical instead of USB but do not agree with the direct sound part. Using the Motherboard optical output is sufficient in my case...The DAC1 just opened up!!! A lot closer to my dearly beloved vinyl setup!!! Currently running 19.0.121
