Title: MC plays tracks backwards
Post by: AlAli on May 02, 2009, 11:34:52 am
When playing an album from Artist/album view, MC starts at the last track and plays the tracks backwards!
Whats up with that ?

It will use whatever sorting you have defined for the view.  Explore View > Customize View...

From the title, I really thought MC was playing this young music lover's songs reversed such that they were listening to Motely Crue's satanic messages...now that would be a neat bug...

Now I'll never know if Paul is dead...

 8) yeah you're right, badly expressed. But as you probably figured, I'm talking about the order in which the tracks are played.
Take a look at the snapshot attached. This is the way albums are sorted. The snapshot is from just after I hit play on the album.
As you can see MC starts to play the last track. After finnishing the last track, it will play the previous track, and so on.
I agree that it probably has something to do with the sorting, but I'm not sure what to change here ?

I can confirm that this has occurred for me too.  I posted about it elsewhere.

That looks like a bug, but I can't reproduce it.

Could you send a library backup that shows the issue to matt at jriver dot com?

Please include what view I should look at and a link to this thread.  Thanks!

Thanks for the backup.

Even with it, I'm unable to reproduce the problem.

This is a wild guess, but with Media Center closed, try erasing the "Cache" subfolder in your library directory.  Also, if you double-click on a file in the file list at the bottom of the view, is the order correct?
