Title: Audio hick-ups in 18.0.184
Post by: -JK- on May 16, 2013, 02:33:19 pm
Hi,

I was just streaming music (16/44.1 FLAC) from my media server to my HTPC, both running Media Center 18.0.184, and I experienced hick-ups (maybe 300-500ms of silence) with both "DSP Output format" engaged and disengaged at my HTPC. I have always been playing back music like this and never had any problems of this kind as my network is wired and has enough bandwidth to stream Blu-ray movies without any issues.

Also I am just right now playing back the same files, but this time streaming them directly via DLNA to my Yamaha receiver, and I haven't heard any kind of problems yet, so I guess it's an issue with the new output format. I am bitstreaming the files via HDMI using WASAPI. If you need any other information please let me know.

Regards, JK

I can confirm that it's an issue with playback on 184 as I downgraded MC on my HTPC (not on my server) to 180 and everything is working fine again.

Thanks, no hick-ups so far! What was the problem?
