Title: sound disturbed in MC 25

With my new 25 installation the sound is disturbed. Probably every 2 or 3 seconds I hear an event as if the sound is shortly stumbling, very short indeed but nonetheless highly nerving. I haven't detected it only with version 25. Replays of the same videos in the VLC player come round flawless.

Usually I prefer j.river. Thus help would highly be appreciated.

OS: Win 10 pro 64x with the most recent updates.

Try setting video to Red October Standard.

Assuming you're using Red October HQ, did you make any changes to madVR?  Try all the possible settings in MC first.
