Title: Podcast file names driving me nuts..
Post by: DOLOMITE73 on June 17, 2017, 08:10:00 pm
I have a bunch of Podcasts set up in Media Jukebox 14 and they're synching  OK but I can't figure out how to get it to save the files in the structure I want. Basically what I want is them all to appear in a single folder with a standard naming convention.  So

C:\Users\Me\Documents\Podcasts

is the directory, then say I have the podcasts "Welcome To Nightville" and "TED" on synch

What I want to end up with is

C:\Users\Me\Documents\Podcasts\TED - 2014-08-22 - Making Mistakes
C:\Users\Me\Documents\Podcasts\TED - 2014-08-29 - Unstoppable Learning
C:\Users\Me\Documents\Podcasts\Welcome To Nightville - 2012-07-01 - Glow Cloud
C:\Users\Me\Documents\Podcasts\Welcome To Nightville - 2012-07-15 - Station Management

So I've configured it as follows

Tools>Options>Podcast>
>>Podcast Directory = C:\Users\Me\Documents\Podcasts
>>Tag & File Renaming Rules > Filename = [Artist] - [ymd] - [Name]*

(* I'm setting the Artist name manually)

And for each Podcast feed I've set up Edit This Feed > Set Tag Properties:

Directory = <DEFAULT>
Set Tag Properties > Filename = [Artist] - [ymd] - [Name]

But what I always end up with is a subfolder for the artists:

C:\Users\Me\Documents\Podcasts\TED\TED - 2014-08-22 - Making Mistakes
C:\Users\Me\Documents\TED\TED - 2014-08-29 - Unstoppable Learning
C:\Users\Me\Documents\Podcasts\Welcome To Nightville\Welcome To Nightville - 2012-07-01 - 2 - Glow Cloud
C:\Users\Me\Documents\Podcasts\Welcome To Nightville\Welcome To Nightville - 2012-07-15 - 3 - Station Management

Why? and how do I stop it?

Only other thing I tried was Tools>Options>File Location > Folder Rule  which is blank.
