Title: Can I use MC to copy library files from one folder to another
Post by: stumpygremlin on October 28, 2019, 07:08:14 pm
So I have a library view that I want to take the files and load them onto a flash drive. Can I do that on MC, and if so, how? Moving is as easy as renaming in the "Rename" function, I know, but I don't want to lose the original copies.

Best answer, Handheld Sync. You can sync to the flash drive, update later, convert format if you wish, rename, change folder structure, add DSP, driven by Playlists, etc. etc. https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Sync_Handheld

Second best, the "Rename, Move, & Copy File" can just copy if you wish, and leave the originals in place. https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Rename,_Move,_and_Copy_Files

Third best, the Convert Format can convert the files, if that is required, and optionally leave the originals, save to a new location (flash drive), only copy new files, add DSP, not include the copies in your Library, etc. etc. https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Convert_Format
