Is there a way to change files stored in FLAC, back to CDA for burning a mix disc?

Just burn the CD and choose audio, not data.  The wiki might help.

When you select audio as Jim mentioned, it should automatically convert the FLAC files to WAV which when burned to the mix cd, can be played in a CD player.
