Title: ASIO on Asus Xonar Essence STX ii 7.1
Post by: seanmcdougall on May 01, 2016, 11:34:02 am
Hi,

I'm just bought an Asus Xonar Essence STC ii 7.1 to upgrade my (quite good) onboard audio. I'm using it to feed a 5.1 system via the analogue outs.

I was fortunate enough to have a completely trouble-free installation, but I then noticed that the ASIO driver does not output to my sub-woofer when played through JRiver. The same ASIO driver works perfectly in Foobar.

I'm wondering if I have missed a setting in JRiver or whether the ASIO driver and JRiver just don't get on. JRiver will output to all six channels perfectly using WASAPI, but at significantly lower volume than when using ASIO.

Grateful for advice from anyone else who has this card and has made it work.

Thanks
Sean
