Title: Can't play to AirPods -fixed
Post by: tyler69 on May 21, 2018, 05:36:07 am
I have the latest MC24 installed on 10.13.4. Regardless of my setting in tools->options->audio device the sound keeps playing from my macbook speakers. I played around with volume settings and exclusive access but it does not make a difference. In macOS' audio settings, I selected my AirPods. Works fine with Youtube et al.. If I assume correctly, "(Default) [Core Audio]" device as the audio device should be OK and should follow whatever output device is selected in macOS, correct?
Any hints on the issue?

EDIT: Fixed that issue. AirPods (or rather macOS) supports only 44.1kHz. Resampling is needed, then it works as expected.

Also: changing internal to system volume requires a restart of MC. Otherwise the volume slider does not have an effect. Is that how it is supposed to work? If so, then a popup "Needs a restart" to the user would be benefitial I assume.
