Title: JRemote 3.3 a no show on IOS 9?
Post by: bMinor on December 26, 2016, 12:54:16 pm
Looks like I've reached the end of the line with JRemote 3.22 on my lowly iPhone 4S which isn't supported by IOS 10.
Have I?
Wondering what's so special about JRemote 3.3 that makes it incompatible with IOS 9 (when other updated apps I'm using work on both).

JRemote v3.3 was a bug fix to make it work on iOS 10, so in other words v3.3 on iOS is nothing more than v3.2 on iOS 9; and JRiver rate of innovation on JRemote is fairly glacial so you probably won't miss anything new for quite a long while..

Newbie, so bear with me. Just had to restore my iPod Touch 5th generation, running iOS9.3.5 (can't update it to iOS10). Had JRemote running nicely on it before the machine crashed. Now can only find JRemote 3.24 in the App Store for iOS10.0 and above.
Is there anywhere I can find an older version of JRemote that can be used with iOS9, or do I have to get a newer iPod? My old iPad has iOS9.3.5 too and it's running JRemote 3.22 happily - can I move it across to my iPod Touch somehow. Any ideas?

Select the app from the "purchased" section of the app store, and click on the cloud icon to download/install. This should prompt to install a compatible version.
Same as discussed here https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6016440?tstart=0
This is nothing to do with jriver company or jremote software, thats just how the apple store works. You've already bought and installed jremote so the app should already appear in your purchase history.
