Title: VST or Winamp DSP plugins
Post by: hillcreative on December 03, 2017, 05:45:47 pm: Trying to use StereoTool VST (for Windows) or DSP (Winamp) in MC .84 Linux.... possible?
When I try to load either in "Manage Plugins" nothing happens.

Obviously it wouldn't work. You should wrap windows dll with some bridge application, like Airwave or Carla.
But even thus will not give you 100% working VST, some of them works fine, some doesn't.

The folks at StereoTool.com say that there are no VST's in development for Linux :)

Freestanding application used with Jack or Alsa. Is MC Jack aware?

Post by: Awesome Donkey on December 04, 2017, 09:10:42 am: Try using the ALSA version(s). As far as I know, MC doesn't support Jack as an output, just ALSA (and PulseAudio, but I'd avoid that one). Looking at the instructions on the site, it probably applies to the Jack version of the plugin.
