Title: File naming after converting flac > mp3
Post by: deining on November 08, 2019, 04:55:03 am
My flac files are on a NAS in a local network.

I convert music to mp3 files to listen to in the car.

In the file system (Windows 10) the directories on a usb looks like this: 192.168.178.21_8200_MediaItems_ and the filenames of the specific music like this: A0$95682820.mp3. Directories should contain directory names  having the name of the artist/album and the filenames the title of the song. How can I arrange this? The tags within the mp3 files are alright; they appear on the display of the radio.

I do not really understand what you mean and what this concerns with JRiver 26 (or all elder versions). You have mp3 files with a correct TAG. If yes then use a software called "Mp3tag" to change your filenames from the TAGs to whatever you want , it's easy.

You can use the Rename, Move, and Copy tool (https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Rename,_Move,_and_Copy_Files) to rename your files based on their metadata.

If you are syncing to a handheld/usb (not clear here since it appears your post was truncated) then you can use Filename rules in the handheld sync settings to rename the files with the proper nomenclature.

deining,
I moved your last post to the top.

What is the full version of MC that you're using?
