Title: when making theater views on server. shouldnt they show on clients?
Post by: HTPC4ME on October 30, 2010, 01:05:12 pm
i made a goathead (our business) view for theaterview
so on server when you open theater view it says audio, images, video goathead, connected playlist connected exit.

But when i connect to server with clients. it only shows the default items, audio, images, video, but goathead, and the items i put under connected don't show up?

Is there away to have all clients view identical to server theaterview?
Thanks.

Root menu items are stored in the registry on each client.  The server's root menu config is not sync'd though it's been requested many times before. Hopefully one day soon.

no. Views you create for tview on the server show up fine since they are stored as a part of the library. So anything under audio, images, video, playlists. Any custom root menu category or view however will need to be applied to each client manually.
