Title: Feature requests
Post by: CadErik on October 28, 2008, 09:24:33 pm
There are few simple things I miss from the stupid Napster player: from any track -> Locate artist and Locate album that takes to the details. Also I haven't found any way to download a whole album in one click (I haven't subscribed yet though). Also is there any discount for purchasing a whole album?

Erik.

Click on the little arrows next to Artist and Album to get details.

I'm not certain about albums.

Erik,

When you say "download an entire album" are you referring to purchasing it with one click, or simply adding the entire album into your library?  If you are just trying to add it to your library, you can send the songs to a playlist and it will automatically do this.  For instance, I have created a PerformerMC playlist.  Anytime I find something that I would like to add to my library, I highlight the songs, right-click, and then send it to the playlist.  The songs then show up in my library just as if I had imported them.

Hope this helps,

Napster offers

Is there a similar download option with Performer? If I recall correctly, Jim mentioned that this would be possible.

Napster offers
  • downloads of WDM protected tracks at 192kbps
  • streaming of WDM protected songs at 128kbps

There is.  I'm not sure of the bitrate for the "downloaded" (not purchased) tracks.

Would it be possible to 'subscribe' to an artist?  In other words, receive an email or some notification when something has been added to that artist's list?
