Greetings,
I am fairly new to JRiver and recently purchased it as a WMC replacement. I had hoped to set and forget it -- and have been mostly happy with JRiver for accomplishing that. There are a few sticky issues here and there.
The one I'm having now is that I cannot watch Live TV either from the Theater View or from the Desktop View.
Scheduled TV recordings do appear to be recording for the most part.
My TV card is a Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD (Model 1609) (driver 1.58.34237.0)
and
my video card is a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 (driver 22.21.13.8205)
I have attached a JRiver System Information dump.
How may I solve this problem?
Thanks,
Ari

what do you mean by "cannot watch" exactly?
-
If I go to the guide, click on a currently playing show, and attempt to watch it (either by clicking "watch" or pressing "play" on the remote in theater view or by right-click selecting "watch" or double-clicking in desktop view, nothing happens.
The TV logs show no activity since the most recent recording.

do you get anything in the jriver log? (help/logging/view current log)
-
I went to help --> logging --> enable logging
and can see this reflected at the end of the log file.
After I did that action, I tried to watch live TV without success. Then I saved the log file and attached it here.
I'm not sure what I'm looking for here.

I don't know either (nothing obviously leaps out) but perhaps one of the devs will see something

The log does not have any entry that suggests an attempt to play a channel.
A few months ago, someone had trouble playing live TV and it was fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling MC. (https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,110205.msg762302.html#msg762302)

Thank you. Uninstalling and re-installing JRiver seems to have fixed it for now.

It's probably a security program that caused the problem.
