Title: Using Minidsp DDRC 22D with Dirac Live - Sampling question
Post by: Cazzesman on December 03, 2019, 12:40:32 am
This relates to a Sample Rate input/output question.

I am purchasing a Minidsp DDRC 22D with Dirac Live.  It is a 100% Digital device (AES in and out).  Software within the Device converts all Inputs to 96khz for Outputting.     I have a purely Digital music system from start to speaker.

My mini PC running JRiver will be feeding the signal into a Mutec USB 3+ (for reclocking) then into 22D.   Generally I leave all my files in their original state i.e. 44.1 as 44.1, 96 as 96.  Any 192 I have I down-sample to 96.   Mp3 are 44.1.   The Mutec treats them in and out as they arrive.

Is the recommendation that I leave my JRiver DSP as is and let the 22D doing the converting or should I set all me files (regardless) in JRiver to convert to 96 before feeding them into the Mutec as 96 then into the 22D at 96?

Any thoughts.

Get JRiver to do it and you have the option to use SoX.
