Title: Copying track names between albums
Post by: HaWi on July 07, 2022, 12:58:53 pm
I am working on my music collection to unify the nomenclature of classical compositions (sigh - a big task). For many compositions, I have multiple versions so I want the track names to be the same, which they never are. Sadly, it seems there is no standard in the published work.
Is there a way to copy a range of track names from one album to another?
Many thanks for any help
Hans

Sure, MC has you covered!

1.  Go to the source album, highlight the tracks in question.
2.  Edit > Copy (or Command-c)
3.  Go to the destination album and highlight the tracks in question.  Make sure it's the same number of tracks in the same order.
4.  Edit > Paste Tags
5.  Select the tag or tags you want.  In your case, the track title is just the [Name] field.  Check that and/or any other tags you want to paste.
6.  Press OK.

That should do it.
Brian.

Thank you, Brian. That is brilliant. Never thought of trying just that.
