Title: Blu-Ray: dts to ac3 encoding
Post by: AGHTPC on February 02, 2013, 10:11:32 pm
For playback of BDs does jriver have a AC3 encoder to spit out AC3using SPDIF .
As an alternative I can use ReClock which has an AC3 encoder, it will re-encode audio for use with SPDIF.. If so how do I add reclock as the preferred decoder.

Thanks in advance everyone!!

After doing a search I figured out how to add ReClock and all is well!

JRiver will encode for you without having to use ReClock. In the DSP and Output Format set output to 5.1. Then check "Output surround sound as Dolby Digital." You could setup zones and ZoneSwitch and have one zone bit-stream Blu-rays that already have an AC3 audio track and have the other zone re-encode to AC3.

JRiver also has its own method of synchronizing the audio with the video. It is called VideoClock and can be turned on in Tools > Options > Video > General Video Settings.
