Title: Server mode - suppress error messages
Post by: simonmason on December 14, 2008, 12:46:00 pm
Is it possible to run JRiver in a server mode where you can suppress error messages?  I use the system through a third party API from Homeseer and my media server sits in a server rack.  Errors about tagging issues and so on routinely crop on requiring that I clear them manually.  Is there any way to suppress all error messages and perhaps have them go to a log?  Thanks.

I'm not sure, but try this:
mc12.exe /MediaServer Starts Media Center in Media Server mode (without a UI).

Thanks.  I am loading this at startup but I communicate with Media Server using two plugins and they automatically pull up the full application.  It is also handy to have the application displayed on the media server to see what is going on.  Maybe for future consideration an option that suppresses all error messages or defaults to log only would be nice.
