Title: importing music
Post by: bussboy on November 10, 2018, 04:49:39 pm
I copied 500 mp3 files (different artists) to a directory on the hard drive.  They were imported in JR.  Now there are 500 new albums in JR.  How does one get them into one album with 500 songs in it?  If you mention "tagging" could you please be more specific on what is done after tagging?
Thanks

Okay. Nothing is done after tagging, except refreshing the views.

Just tag all the files correctly. This is your reference: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,113869.msg786995.html#msg786995

Plus this: https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Multiple_Artist_Albums

Basically, I assume that you have made a compilation of tracks, and copied the files for all of them into one directory. The easiest way to have them all appear as one Album is to select them and change the [Album] tag for all of them to any name you want to give this compilation.

The Wiki and forum are full of great information, easily found with a search.
