Title: iOS8
Post by: Mab97 on September 18, 2014, 02:34:05 am
I don't want to lose JRemote functionality by upgrading to iOS8 and so am wondering should I wait for now?

JRemote should work just fine with iOS8. I have updated both my iPad and phone without issues.

Video (MP4) doesn't seem to be working correctly on my iPad at all in iOS 8 - though there have been problems on 7 in the last couple of JRemote updates too.

Video always starts paused, and often stops after only a few seconds of playback.

I updated my iPad 3 to iOS8 yesterday. No issues with JRemote.  I don't have many .mp4 files but I just tested a couple and they are working fine for me.  If there is a problem with MP4 it is not the file type in general, so it may be content related.

I always 'early adopt' in the family and then update everyone else after the app developers have generally caught up.

Your answers are greatly appreciated. If you are aware of the ELyric debacle after the iOS7 release you'll understand my concerns.
