Title: Simultaneous Conversions
Post by: Jons on July 14, 2021, 01:05:03 pm
Yesterday, I began creating some playlists for output to SD cards.  I had set the number of simultaneous conversions to 4 and everything work well.  I made some adjustments this morning and increased the number of simultaneous conversions to 8.  It started the sync but was only doing 1 conversion at a time. I have deleted the device erased it, renamed it, restarted MC, and tried 4 conversions again. No other software changed that I am aware of overnight. It will now only do 1 conversion at a time.  The version of media center is 28.0.34. My MacOS version is: 11.4 - I am running on an iMac Pro.

Any ideas about why this would have stopped working?

There are multiple source formats. FLAC at different bit rates/depths as well as DSD and mp3. They are all being converted to mp3 at 320 kbs.

An update.  4 Concurrent conversions are now working.  This is after at least a half dozen crashes and restarts as a result of some issue I am having with smart list rules - see separate post.
