Title: "Submit To Internet" for DVD cover art = crash
Post by: Johnny B on May 10, 2009, 06:25:56 am
When I try to submit cover art for DVD disc MC always crashes (both on XPSP3 and Vista 64SP1).

I also wonder why the "Submit To Internet" option is not available in context menu when right-clicking the DVD disc whereas CD disc does have that option??

IIRC, at present YADB (The brains behind 'Submit to Internet') doesn't actually support video tagging, hence why these options aren't available in the context menu.
I'm not sure where you've found 'Submit to Internet' in a video view, but I'm willing to bet it's not supposed to be there, hence why it crashes :)
Obviously, MC should be able to handle this more gracefully, but if you can provide more details or a log, the developers should be able to squash it.

Thank you for a reaction, Leezer.

OK now I understand why that option is not available for DVDs yet.

I did not find it in any menu (that's why I asked about it). I used the "Submit to Internet" for some audio CDs and therefore it appeared in my "last actions" context menu so I just clicked on it.

I am not sure what log file do you refer to? I can't find anything like this in the MC13 folder...
When the crash happens this Vista window appears:

Ah, bingo :)
Wholly repeatable at this end, and should be easily fixable I would hope.

FWIW, Logging can be enabled from the Help- Logging menu item. It's not really necessary in this case (At least I hope so :) ), as this seems to be a non-unique, easily repeatable crash.

Cheers
