Title: JRemote - audio quality settings
Post by: sjhilton on July 04, 2015, 07:53:35 pm
Hi,

I have been using jremote on both my LAN and over the internet (4G) and I have what might seem like a silly question - does jremote always comply with the audio quality settings in the app (or under the client options under the Media Network settings in JRiver)?

On the server side I have tried jriver on 'convert audio if necessary'/'always convert audio' (under the Media Network settings).

I'm trying out the linux version of jriver on raspberrypi - so maybe this hasn't been implemented yet?

Thanks in advance.

The jremote audio quality settings are the quality settings for playback on the device, and don't affect audio quality on a server or client running MC.

If you're using the Pi as a full-fledged client, you need to set the conversion settings on the Pi (not on the server) under Options --> Media Network --> Client Options

Thanks. That makes sense.
