Title: TERMINATED? Yes/No?
Post by: JimH on November 07, 2002, 07:33:03 am: I've heard from EMusic again. As I've said, I believe they are trying hard and deserve your patience.

I'm told that less than 1% of their customers have been terminated. Our percentage of terminations seems higher. So I want to do a survey.

PLEASE just answer these questions without discussion (start another thread for that if you like)?

Have you been terminated? About how many files did you download? About how many months were you a member? Did you use a download manager? What kind of connection do you have (dialup, dsl, cable)?

Please answer in this format to make it easy to count:
(copy and paste the following line if you want to)

terminated / files / months / dl mgr / connection

examples:

yes / 2000 / 3 / yes / dsl
or
no - 500 - 6 - no - dialup

An observation or guess: I have used three different Download Managers with eMusic; Real One, eMusic DM and MJ. Of the three, only MJ has the capability of simultaneous downloads of multiple files. Maybe this is what triggered the warning e-mail which only arrived after moving to MJ (about a week ago!)

I did it like that because I couldn't remember which each was. I figured I'm not the only old coot here that can't remember 30 seconds ago.
