I just updated my license and installed the new updates. Now I can't get any sound out of my system or the computer speakers. The music is playing in the application but no sounds is coming out. Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks,
Mike

Try Audio Setup on the wiki.
Describe your setup.
Check settings against your old version.
Try Direct Sound. Your driver may be 32 bit, which requires the 32 bit version of MC.

Ok, so I have a laptop > Schiit Bifrost DAC > stereo
I went in and changed the option in the sound output settings to WASAPI Bifrost GEN 5 from JRiver 25 which worked and gave me sound.
Can you now tell me if that is the correct path I should use? I can't honestly remember how I had it before.
Thanks

If you have sound now, you're in business.

Thanks a lot. It sounds great

Actually I have another question if you don't mind. It said in the memo I received via email when I purchased the new version that I was supposed to enter the new registration code in the old interface to complete the upgrade. It said to enter it in the help>install license but the "install license" button isn't there.

You don't need to do anything now. Install your MC27 license after you install MC27.

Got it.......Thanks!

I just had a graphic card that resulted in no sound in jriver while playing movies. I have to check output format in dsp to get sound. Dsp should only be used as a sound effect tool , right? I am not sure anymore but should it not produce sound without using dsp output format checked. I am asking because I have to find out if this card have messed up my pc or not.
