Title: Video Playback - JRiver Media Center
Post by: cell.shift10 on June 14, 2009, 10:38:31 am

I would like to know how to play videos in j. river media center 13, 12 or 14 in normal mode and not big screen or bottom/left side mini tabbed mode? Where in the tools or settings or options section should I go and what should I select or de-select to be able to do this? I am using a normal screen skin, the default for the program. I need help fast. Please assist.

There are some choices available under Tools/Options/General/Behavior.

You could also try a detached screen.

You do not want to play in Full screen mode, nor Action Window.  Then you have two options.  By default MC jumps to Display View when video is started, and it is in full screen.  For your first option, all you have to do is to exit full screen mode while playing a video.  The next time you play a video, it will still be played in Display View, but not full screen.  Your other option is to play video in Playing Now.  Under the option suggested by Jim, i.e. Tools/Options/Behavior, make a change in "Jump on start (video)".
