Hi, the latest version of JR 17 (59) and the previous one also (50) is not any longer working as DLNA server with LINN KINKSY DLNA Controller.
Other DNLA server works fine.
It worked very fine with JR 16.
Thanks for your support and make it working.

It may be a difference in your settings.
-
No,
There is no difference.
This a very simple straigh forward software.
And I upgraded from v16.

Please double check the MC16 settings against MC17's.
-
Well, no difference in the DLNA settings in the 2 versions of server.

Sorry for the troubles with the LINN controller. J River is closed for the holiday this week but we'll take a look at the issue on Monday.
-
Would one of you having trouble be willing to send us a wireshark dump capture options->Capture filter set to just the controller and the MC 17 PC?
You could send it to bob (at) jriver (dot) com.
Thanks..

I would suggest a more straight forward process.
Download Kinksky, it's free on http://www.linn.co.uk/support/software#control
and try and look at your technical stuff.
Because, the trial version expired (due to your support freeze during the holidays).

I downloaded both PC and Mac versions of the Kinsky controller and it didn't work with ANY of my hardware renderers, WDTV, NoXon Radio, Sony Bravia TV.
But it DID work with my MC 17!

I'm using: JRiver MC 17 (Dlna server), android Bubble Ds controller and Linn Majik as a player and everything is ok. Unfortunately I cann't use Linn Kinsky as a controller - it displays only empty boxes. What could be the reason? What could I change in JRiver configuration?
Similar problem is with Chorus DS controller working on iOS.

I'm having the same problem the the Linn Kinsky app running on my iPad under iOS5. The application talks and works correctly with Windows Media Server.
