media centre keeps locking up.

my library is on my htpc and i am accessing this from my office machine

Similar issue with me.  Last night it kept freezing and today nothing will play.  I am very confused on why this is.

It should work for ordinary audio.  It's a pretty slow machine by today's standards.

confused as to what Audio has to do with machine locking up

Try turning auto-import off as a test.
